All Stars for All Star Resort
My family arrived at All Star Movies 2 hours early for check in since we left the Princess Half Marathon Expo early. As expected our room was not ready but the amenities at the resort made the wait a breeze, even with a rambunctious one year old. There was a mini theater area playing Mickey cartoons that kept my little one and my husband entertained. After a little while we took a walk around the beautiful resort and let our daughter play at the playground. I received a text from the front desk as soon as our room was ready and with our magic bands we could go straight to our room. The resort has three pools perfect for everyone’s taste (kiddie pool, standing pool and the main pool). All day there were events held at the pool like dance parties, games and movies. With my one year old the Disney Junior pool party was so much fun. The room was small but perfectly accommodated my family of three. Also we didn’t spend much time in the room with so much to do. The resort provided transportation to every Disney property so we didn’t have to worry about paying to park and needing directions. The movie themes throughout the resort also made the stay feel whimsical and fun. The best stay on Disney property that can be done on a budget.
Tips for Families
-The resort has extended check out time until 1 PM but it’s first come first serve. -Magic Bands can be made smaller for young children.

Great value and kids can’t get enough of this resort!
Disney never disappoints and they make sure that no matter what your travel budget you’re treated like royalty! The All-Star Movie resort caters to those who love film (past and present). The rooms were clean and had all of the basic requirements that you would need in a hotel stay. When you take a break from the parks and want to unwind closer to your ‘temporary’ home, you can relax by the pool or take in a fantastic meal (selection is great for young kids as well as grown ups who are kids at heart!) in the dining area. You can’t beat the price and your dollar travels a lot farther when you stay at a value resort onsite like the All-Star Movie (or other related franchise properties).
Tips for Families
Great for families who are traveling with children up to age 10. Lots of activities on the grounds.

Did its job…
Our room was very small. The front desk folks took for-e-ver to get us checked in, which eventually brought me to tears! It’s one of the last stops on the busses, so that was a bummer when we wanted to get into bed quickly at the end of the day. Pool is nice, but it was too cold in December for us…………and someone had pooed in it one night. Outdoor movie was fun, but too late for our little ones.
Tips for Families
Room upgrade might be a good idea if it’s an option…to be closer to bus stop, and to have a larger room maybe?

Great Disney Hotel on a Budget
If you want to experience Disney Magic, but do not want to drain your bank account consider the All Star Movie Resort. The staff and grounds are great and the bigger than life Disney Movie decorations will have any kid in awe. They have a huge outdoor pool with fun and free kid activities and a nice arcade and playground ( Kind of hidden, so ask or check a map) A great food court that is part of the dining plan you can choose and even a full service bar for the adults. They also offer a great and free shuttle service to all their parks. Rooms are outside entrance, but elevators are available and the inside of the rooms is disney decorated and very clean. My two year old loved everything about this hotel, including chasing the small lizards that run the grounds outside.
Tips for Families
Great budget hotel for disney where you can experience the magic. Consider the adding on the disney dining plan for unlimited drinks at resorts and select meals according to your plan.
