Las Vegas is home to some of the world’s most luxurious hotels and resorts. However, budget-conscious families aren’t out of luck. The Las Vegas area has plenty of wallet-friendly accommodations too, both on and off the Strip.

Located in Downtown Las Vegas, the Golden Nugget features one of the most unique pools in the city. An enclosed slide, which starts 30 feet above the pool, takes swimmers through an aquarium tank filled with sharks and other sea creatures. Although the Golden Nugget does charge a resort fee, it offers military and AAA discounts on room rates and free self-parking. Golden Nugget is near the Fremont Street Experience, the Mob Museum, and other Downtown attractions. The hotel is located at 129 East Fremont St.

With plenty of kid-friendly features, New York-New York Hotel and Casino is a popular accommodation choice for families who want to stay on the Las Vegas Strip. Visit the recently opened Hershey’s Store for two levels filled with candy, souvenirs, and even a large Statue of Liberty made of chocolate. Guests will also want to check out the hotel’s arcade and roller coaster. A variety of room options, including adjoining rooms and spacious suites, make it easy for families to find the type of room that works best for them. NY-NY is located on the Strip at 3790 Las Vegas Blvd.

Room rates are reasonable year-round, but the best deals can be found off-season and on weeknights. The Skyrise Tower rooms are located near the resort’s pools and Adventuredome, making them a convenient option for families. Circus Circus is located at 2880 S. Las Vegas Blvd.

Located two miles from McCarran Airport and approximately four miles from the Las Vegas Strip, this hotel is ideal for those who are short on time. In addition to its convenient location, another perk at the Doubletree is the hotel’s special “allergy-free” rooms, which feature hypoallergenic bedding and undergo a special cleaning process. The Doubletree is located at 7250 Pollock Drive.
