Bunny meet-and-greets, lavish brunches, and oh-so-many eggs

Winter may not be over yet, but earlybird Easter weekend packages have already started popping up at kid-friendly resorts, promising bunny-themed events, lavish brunches, and scores upon scores of colorful eggs. Here are five places where families can find fun-filled Easter celebrations:
Congress Hall
Where: Cape May, NJ Why: Because this grand Victorian beachfront resort in Cape May has planned a fun-filled Easter weekend, with a classy brunch buffet in the hotel’s ballroom, two Easter egg hunts on the huge Congress Hall lawn, and afternoon of family lawn games including potato sack races and a scavenger hunt, as well as rides on the Congress Hall Express mini train.
Hotel Hershey
Where: Hershey, PA Why: Because while the smell of chocolate wafts through the air all year in Hershey, Easter is a particularly sweet holiday. Hershey’s most luxurious hotel offers Easter weekend cookie decorating, egg hunts, bingo, character appearances, and a Hershey’s Kiss Hunt. The two-night Easter package includes accommodations, one-day tickets to Hersheypark, Saturday breakfast, Easter Sunday breakfast, and more.

Pinehurst Resort
Where: Pinehurst, NC Why: Because this hallowed North Carolina golf resort is surprisingly kid-friendly and Easter weekend offers myriad opportunities for families to have fun together. Easter weekend festivities include a resort-wide scavenger hunt, bounce houses, face-painting, an egg toss, and a birdhouse-painting workshop. Aside from the usual Easter Sunday egg hunt, there’s also a flashlight egg hunt on Friday night to give bigger kids a challenge, followed by a family movie.
Marina Inn at Grande Dunes
Where: Myrtle Beach, SC Why: Because the Grand Strand is synonymous with family fun and the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes is offering a basketful of Easter activities. The fun kicks off on Friday with egg and cookie decorating, a family movie night, and s’more roasts under the stars. There will also be an egg hunt, Easter brunch, and visits with Mr. and Mrs. Cottontail.
