EF Tours

We had the best vacation this year. My 11-year-old daughter and I went to Costa Rica with EF Tours. We had the most amazing trip. We went from the San Jose to Monteverde to ziplining to the beach at Manuel Antonio National Park. Beautiful Country and wonderful people. We saw so many different kinds of animals and birds. Truly a vacation we will never forget! –Bethany from Olive Branch, MS
Arenal and Manuel Antonio
Posted September 17, 2008
This is the place for adventure. We took our two kids (ages 10 and 14) and 3 nephews (12, 15, 16) on a nine-day trip. We spent the first three days in the Arenal area and were very busy with hiking, whitewater rafting, ziplining (outstanding courses available), nighttime viewing of the Arenal volcano, and soaking in the hot springs. We were able to consistently feed our family of seven for approximately $50 for lunch and $90 for dinner (all prices include tax and tip). We all absolutely loved the Arenal area.
On our fourth day, we hired a private driver and took a long drive down to Manuel Antonio. We made several stops along the way, including one to try out a bunch of exotic fruit, and another time to see a bridge where many huge crocodiles congregate. We rented a casa in Buena Vista Casas and truly enjoyed the ocean, kayaking, and the national park. We saw tons of monkeys on a daily basis! We had great meals and an all-around super time!
There was no TV, computer access, or video games for nine days and not one of the kids ever remarked that they missed it. We loved introducing these kids to a new culture and showing them a truly beautiful corner of the world! It didn’t hurt that each one picked up a little Spanish as well. We can’t wait to go back! –Jennifer from West Hartford, CT
