If you judge a book by its cover, then at first glance the Quality Inn Boardwalk may seem like an out-dated beach hotel. I’ll admit, the decor could use some elbow grease, but this hotel has good bones. First of all, the location is great. You are far enough away to not be trampled by the masses when you step onto the boardwalk, but close enough to walk to all the action. And I mean hello, the hotel is on the BOARDWALK which is awesome in itself. Secondly the hotel has two outdoor pools, an indoor pool and a hot tub. Most hotels on the boardwalk only have one pool. The rooms are spacious, although, outdated. All of them come with kitchens with a stove, full refrigerator, microwave, cookware, utensils and a dishwasher. When you are staying a week or more, a full kitchen is amazing. Unfortunately they don’t have suites with doors, but they have the next best thing, a think heavy curtain that divides the beds from the llvingroom if you want to watch tv while the little ones are asleep. It may not be the most fancy hotel, but I have had some of the best times there that I will remember forever. So grab a drink from Surfin’ Betty’s Beach Bar, sit in a pool chair and enjoy life…after all, you are on vacation.
