Great family hotel
Great, cozy, personal hotel. The staff was wonderful! However, we were used to zero-entry pools from Marriott time shares we rented. Best part of this palce was that you could eat outside and your kids can play on the playground, play chess, mini-golf, shuffleboard – and you can still see them! Much better set up then the other hotels in the area for families.
Tips for Families
Do not go “into” Ft Lauderdale at night. The traffic is terrible! When you come out of the hotel, take a left for dinners if you don’t stay there!

Family Fun on the Beach in Fort Lauderale
Lago Mar Resort is a family owned beach resort minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Fort Lauderdale beach yet a close 5-minute ride to restaurants. Beyond the spacious pool area there are all kinds of activities for kids and families including shuffle board, ping pong and volleyball on the beach, tennis and a putting course. There are a variety of rooms options including some with kitchens. The resort has 500 feet of private beach front where you and the kids can watch the freighters out in the ocean on weekends, the cruise ships coming and going. It’s a one-of-a-kind resort in Fort Lauderdale.
Tips for Families
Lago Mar can be tricky to find especially at night as it’s located in an area full of apartment buildings.
