Hilton Waivers on it’s Good Intentions
We have been staying at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront for years, and we had a great time again for the Thanksgiving holidays until the last day of our stay when my 10yr old son at 6am in the morning rolled out of bed and struck his left eyelid against the sharp edge of a nightstand which caused an open wound. Marco the security supervisor gave me an agency to call, and they sent a doctor who sutured my son’s open wound, but to my surprise, the doctor gave me the medical bill. I assumed that Hilton would pay the medical costs of $800. I talked to Marco, the security supervisor, who told me Hilton would pay for the initial examination, but not for the suture procedure. So I asked Marco to put that in writing when he had Emily Boyce the Hilton manager tell me Hilton would not pay for any of the costs. I asked her to put that in writing, so she talked to her supervisor and came back saying the Hilton would pay $270 for the initial exam, but not the rest of the cost. I asked her to put that in writing, but she refused. Why didn’t Hilton just tell me they wouldn’t cover all of the medical costs for my son’s open wound injury or at least some of the cost, instead of misrepresenting their good intentions of not feeling obligated to pay for any of the medical costs. Hilton has an emotionally cruel way of treating its valued customers.
Tips for Families
Make sure you have medical insurance to cover your children’s physical injuries at Hilton Hotels in California because Hilton will deny medical reimbursments for most accidents.
