Comfortable, stellar view, great location
Our group of four scored an amazing suite on the 14th floor. We had two queen beds in one room, a full living room with pull-out sofa in another, and a hallway with bathroom in between. All for us. Win. Everything was clean, spacious, and modern. The bathroom had a full counter top sink and private corner for the toilet. The beds were plush, dressed in a white cotton comforter for a modern, hygienic look. There was even a walk-up vanity across from the bathroom, allowing the ladies to do our hair and make up while the men showered. Galt House is in walking distance of many fantastic attractions of Louisville, particularly the museums. Louisville Slugger Museum is right down the street, as is 21c Art Museum, Frazier Museum (the history museum) and the Science Center. We were able to find a good price for the hotel online, however, I was displeased with the parking fee. It’s $20.00 per day to park in the hotel garage. This seemed higher than in other cities, where it’s $13.00 – $15.00 per day. Oh well, I’d still stay at Galt House again, since everything else added up to a fantastic experience.
