Family Fun in a cool coastal town
We have stayed an extended weekend. Pool was a hop and skip away. Access to many wonderful restaurants and kid-friendly places. The Beach… Brookgreen sculpture museum and gardens, the beach, The Huntington State Park, Myrtle Beach and all it has to offer is just up the road, Historic Georgetown and the beach (did I mention that already?) Places are very comfortable, accommodate a crew and easy to eat in with a full kitchen at your disposal. Sometimes you can hear others… thru the walls, so hopefully you get a quiet room with quiet neighbors. The staff is helpful and it is centrally located.
Tips for Families
Pack Light Eat in when you can… saves you money as eateries to feed large families can be expensive in the area. Pack for the BEACH! Don’t forget to take in ”Brookgreen Gardens”… purchasing a ticket give you several days to explore the grounds and gardens. Dine at the Hanser House (one of Murrell Inslet’s famous “sea food restaurants”) Quigley’s Pint & Plate Restaurant has a local secret: $10 Tuesdays. Don’t pass up on an opportunity to feed the herd at an amazing savings. http://www.pintandplate.com remember to ask for the special Ten-Buck menu.
