Great Place for Kids to Run Free
We’ve stayed here many times, usually with a group of friends from my kids’ school. It’s a great place for the kids to run around and have a little independence while experiencing the outdoors. Every cabin has beds, a kitchenette and bathroom with shower. The tents have beds, but you have to use the community restrooms. The staff isn’t always that accommodating and it can take a while to get a response to your problems. There’s a cafe for those people who don’t want to cook, but service can be slow and the menu is pretty limited.
Tips for Families
Make sure the kids bring their bikes. Adult bikes are available to borrow. The beach is within walking distance, but after a day in the waves, you might not want to walk back. With small ones, you might want to drive. If you do drive, make sure to pay for parking at the entrance to the beach, even if there’s nobody at the kiosk. Several people I know have been ticketed.
