Great hotel lots of kid friendly activities
We stayed here in May 2013 for 8 days .My kids had soo much fun, they played bingo by the pool and musical hoops .also we made snacks for the animals and roasted marshmallows .every night they had a movie playing by the pool it was great because Mom could sit in the hot tub to watch the movie .The pool is great it has a small water slide my 4 year old loved ,he could go down with a life vest on ,they also have a bigger slide for the older kids .they also have a great water play area really great for the really little ones .we stayed at other Disney Resorts over the last 10 years ,Kidani is used by alot of Dvc users but you can still book there .the plus side of that is the hotel and pools are always less crowed .They also have a rec room that my kids and hubby loved,it had a pool table X-Box ans Ps2-ps3 all for free .t and daily painting activities ,like paint a bank or make a mug for a small fee my kids loved it .The staff will got out of there way to make you feel welcome ,and the kids happy .The only down side to this hotel is there is no Quick serve restraint at this hotel ,you have to drive or take the 5 min walk to Jumbo house ,my kids did not mine the walk they tried to catch all the little lizards all around.Other than that the hotel was awesome, and my family and two others are going back Aug 2014 .
Tips for Families
Let the kids use the rec room it’s a great place to play on your down day,mom an read a book or catch up on emails on the couch or balcony looking at animals .the only thing you must stay with kids .go to the night movies ,roast marshmallows .let the kids see the animals at night they have night vision goggles ,and campfires on most nights .You can also go to jumbo house and swim and do there activities .Do the pool it’s a must .also the studios have a mini fridge ,stock up in juice ans snacks ,Ezmac ,cereal cups ,waffle ,beagles ,and lunch able are great for the little ones .Target is less than 5 mins down the roac

A great time in a great hotel
We had the pleasure of staying at the Kidani Lodge at the Animal Kingdom hotel in Disney World for our oldest sons’ fifth birthday. We stayed in a 2-bedroom villa with a kitchen. There were 7-of us total and the room worked out very well. The lodge was nice (though not as fabulous as the main hotel) and the rooms were well appointed. The kitchenette worked well enough for making quick meals. We ate in our room several times to save money and the kitchen we perfect for that. The pool at this lodge is amazing! My kids could have stayed there all day! It wasn’t a quarter as crowded as the pool at the main building, but it’s every bit as nice. We could have spent an entire day in the splash zone (for younger kids) and the water slide at the pool. This hotel is a little out of the way and doesn’t feature any food service directly, but the main hotel is a short walk away, and the food at the two main restaurants there is some of the best Disney has to offer. Getting to the world from here either involves driving yourself (not too big a deal since parking at the amusement parks is free for hotel guests) or taking the convenient bus service. Again, you’re kind of off the beaten path here so bus service can take a while depending on where you’re going, since the buses stop everywhere for pick-ups.
Tips for Families
Plan on spending one whole day at the pool! It’s a nice break from the parks and the kids will absolutely love it.
