An A-list Hollywood hotel
What an ideal home base for exploring Hollywood and surrounding areas. This is where we steer out-of-town visitors, even those with kids. Upon arrival, kids under 10 get an activity book. Towering 20 floors above Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, you not only get great views (including that of the Hollywood sign), but many area attractions are within walking or close driving distance. The Hollywood Walk of Fame, El Capitan Theatre and the Highland & Hollywood Center are just outside the door. Older teens and parents can watch a taping of the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show across the street. Just be sure to secure tickets in advance (this show sells out quickly). Loews offers several packages. The best one for families is the Universal Studios Hollywood VIP Package, which includes a spacious junior suite with views of the Hollywood sign, and a park pass with front-of-line privileges, a VIP lounge and gourmet lunch. After a day of sightseeing, it’s nice to come back and swim a few laps in the rooftop pool.
