Perfect HQ for San Diego Sightseeing
We chose this hotel because we wanted to take advantage of the water taxi to SeaWorld and because it’s close to the zoo. But we ended up wishing we’d had more time to just hang out by the hotel! It’s right on the marina, which the kids loved–fun to walk around and look at all the boats. And the pool is awesome, very pretty for us, and fun for the kids, thanks to the waterslide. Loved it!
Tips for Families
There’s a little bagel shop in the hotel–perfect for grabbing something quick that the whole family can enjoy if you’re on your way out sightseeing for the day.

A great experience
My family and I had a great experience at the Hyatt Regency. I was impressed by the accommodating staff, lovely location and spacious rooms. My husband and I appreciated the beautiful look and feel of the hotel, while my daughter enjoyed the water slides at the hotel pool! The many dining options made it easy for the whole family to find something they liked. All things considered, it was an amazing stay. Taking all the kids on vacation can be daunting, but the Hyatt Regency made the task a little easier. We will be checking in again the next time we take the kids to Sea World.
Tips for Families
Take advantage of public transportation around the hotel.

Fun Pool for the kids, Great Staff
The kids LOVED being in the pool all day long. It has waterslides and fire pits. The hotel is very close to Seaworld, so we had an easy access back and forth. The staff was VERY helpful, any issue we had was addressed quickly. Recommended!

The View from the room….this is the best part

Waterslide fun near Sea World
This is a great place for families to stay!! It is very close to Sea World. It has amazing views of the Mission Bay if you are in a tower room. It has 3 waterslides, 1 for short one for smaller kids and 2 curving slides. The slides are open daily with a lifeguard on duty. The hotel also has a scavenger hunt for kids about the hotel and they can earn a free prize. The children also get beverage cups at check in for free beverages their entire stay! WE can’t wait to stay again!!
Tips for Families
Bring your own smores supplies to make smores at the firepits. The hotel does sell kits at the Swim restaurant, but save some $ and bring your own!

Kids Loved It
Our family had a great time. Location is super. on the bay with great views. Across from Sea World (less than a mile). In fact they offer a water taxi right to special gate at Sea World (highly recommended) !!! Pool was nice with a small slide and poolside snacks. Not a lot of food options but restaurant has great view of bay.
Tips for Families
– Ask for corner room/suite. Offers plenty of extra space for kids and stuff. – Take the water taxi to Sea World, makes it a little more special. – If visiting Sea World in the summer plan on an extra few $ ($25 ?) per person to get the front of the line pass, well worth it.
