Too much walking, long waits for bus
We stayed in a pirate room, which was nice for my son, but very far from the main pool and dining areas. It was quite a walk to just refill your drink, you pretty much had to take the internal bus to get to the dining area if you were tired or in a hurry. Also, we were one of the last bus stops, on a busy morning during Star Wars weekend buses for Hollywood Studios kept passing us because they were full. It took over half an hour just to get a bus we could actually get onto. The rooms were basic Disney, not too roomy, but not cramped either. Liked the pirate theme, but would not stay here again since it’s much too large.
Tips for Families
Pirate rooms are the furthest from the dining area and main pool, if you want that theme then be prepared for plenty of walking and waiting for buses!

Could have been better but not horrific!
We traveled for our daughters 13th birthday. Other than we did not receive the cake we ordered and extremely late at that with a not so friendly waitress at the onsite restaurant, it was not bad. I feel the resort is for younger children. All in all the grounds are beautiful and relaxing.
Tips for Families
Make sure to bring an umbrella! It rained the entire week we were there! Have fun!

Great Disney Resort!
We made reservations to stay at this Disney Resort and I’m so glad we made a good choice! Lots of parking close to your room, just a short beach walk to the resort’s restaurants, and even hammocks along the way in case you get tired! The room was extremely clean and organized, there was nothing to complain about! The wait for the shuttle ride might be a bit of a concern since everyone just doesn’t want to wait to go to Disney World! But we were patient and sure enough, it came on time. Check-in and check-out was a breeze and no hassles.
Tips for Families
Do your reserach before hand since there are different areas within this resort and try to request your choice area! Have fun!

Best hotel EVER
This hotel has it all. Lush, beautiful surroundings, exemplary customer service, fine dining, casual dining, stores, pool, you name it. We loved it and would go back in a heartbeat!
Tips for Families
Use the monorail in the upstairs lobby to get to Disney in a flash!
